Choosing the right class in Door Kickers: Action Squad can be the difference between a 3-star clear and a mission failure. Each of the 6 SWAT operators brings a unique toolkit, and understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and best use cases is critical for building your squad. This guide ranks every class and breaks down where they shine — solo, co-op, or your very first playthrough.
Class Tier Overview

Situational operators that excel in specific scenarios but struggle outside their niche.
Individual Class Breakdown
Each class card below includes strengths, weaknesses, solo and co-op ratings out of 10, beginner-friendliness, and the single best weapon to pair with that operator.
Assault
A TIERBeginner FriendlyBalanced All-Rounder
The default starting class and the safest pick for any mission. The Assault trooper has balanced stats across the board — decent health, good damage output, and access to most weapons. He does not excel at anything, but he also does not fail at anything. Perfect for learning the game before specializing.
Strengths
- No major weaknesses
- Works on every mission type
- Solid starting weapon options
- Good health pool
Weaknesses
- No special abilities
- Outclassed by specialists in niche roles
- Slow class unlock growth
Breacher
S TIERBeginner FriendlyDoor-Smashing Specialist
The Breacher is the king of aggressive room clearing. His door breach speed and shotgun bonuses make him the fastest class for clearing tight spaces. He is fragile, so positioning matters, but a good Breacher can finish missions in half the time of other classes. Unlock him early — he transforms the early game.
Strengths
- Fast door breach speed
- Shotgun damage bonuses
- Stuns enemies longer on breach
- Clears rooms incredibly fast
Weaknesses
- Low health pool
- Struggles at long range
- Dependent on shotguns
- Fragile in open combat
Shield
A TIERTeam Tank & Protector
The Shield operator is built for co-op and hard missions. His riot shield blocks almost all frontal damage, making him a walking wall that teammates can hide behind. In solo play he is painfully slow and lacks the firepower to clear rooms alone. Bring a friend with a high-DPS class and the Shield becomes invaluable.
Strengths
- Massive health and armor
- Riot shield blocks frontal damage
- Protects teammates behind him
- Can push through heavy fire
Weaknesses
- Very slow movement
- Limited weapon options
- Struggles in solo play
- Useless without teammates to cover
Recon
A TIERStealth & Speed Demon
Recon trades durability for speed and stealth. He moves faster, makes less noise, and deals bonus damage on opening shots. This makes him ideal for speed runs and missions with time-limit objectives. His low health means one mistake ends the run, so he is better suited to players who already understand enemy patterns.
Strengths
- Fastest movement speed
- Silent footsteps reduce enemy aggro
- Bonus damage on first shots
- Perfect for speed runs
Weaknesses
- Lowest health pool
- Struggles in prolonged fights
- Requires precise positioning
- High skill ceiling
Sniper
B TIERLong-Range Precision
The Sniper is a high-risk, high-reward specialist. In large rooms with multiple sightlines, he can pick off enemies before they ever see you. In tight corridors or multi-enemy rooms, he is a liability. Best used in co-op where a partner handles close-range threats while you control angles from a distance.
Strengths
- Highest single-shot damage
- Can shoot through light cover
- Eliminates enemies before they react
- Amazing in wide-open rooms
Weaknesses
- Very slow fire rate
- Useless in tight corridors
- Requires line of sight
- Extremely punishing if you miss
FBI
S TIERBeginner FriendlyTactical Equipment Expert
The FBI Agent is the most versatile late-game class. He carries more tactical items than anyone else, meaning more flashbangs, more heals, and more breaching charges. His bonuses make every item more effective, turning him into a one-man tactical toolkit. He pairs well with any weapon and any playstyle, making him the ultimate utility pick.
Strengths
- Extra tactical items per mission
- Flashbang radius and duration bonuses
- Can carry multiple medkits
- Breaching charge blast radius increased
Weaknesses
- Average health and speed
- Still needs a good weapon to fight
- Item management required
- Less raw damage output
Solo vs Co-Op Recommendations

- 1Breacher
Fast room clears and shotgun dominance make solo missions efficient and fun.
- 2FBI
Extra tactical items provide more options when you have no partner to rely on.
- 3Assault
The safe pick. No weaknesses means you never feel completely outmatched.
Best for Co-Op Play
- 1Shield
Only truly shines with a teammate. Becomes a walking fortress that enables your partner.
- 2Sniper
A co-op partner handles close range while you eliminate threats from safe angles.
- 3FBI
More flashbangs and heals benefit the entire team. The ultimate support class in duo runs.
